New for 2007 is the GCB Swing Band, comprised of musicians from the larger community band, covering the great music from the "swing era" of the 1920s through the 1940s, salted with classics from the 50s and 60s. View our set list. The Swing Band is organized in a "big band" configuration, with a powerful sound from five trumpet, five saxophones, four trombones, and a rhythm section made up of a pianist, bassist, guitarist and drummer. Available for your event, the Swing Band is a smaller, more dance-oriented group that's perfect for festivals, meetings, dances or fund-raisers, and provide hours of musical fun for your group.
